Brian Durant is the Manager of Data Management at HFA. In his role he oversees all aspects of publisher song ingestion, metadata management and HFA’s song research initiatives. He also plays a role in guiding and executing HFA’s strategic data and business initiatives and serves as subject matter expert for the Common Works Registration (CWR) process.

Brian joined the HFA Client Services team in 2006 where he held the positions of Inquiry Agent, Agent, and Senior Agent. As Senior Agent, he led the west coast team in the research and resolution of client inquiries in the areas of song catalog registration, royalty distribution, income tracking, licensing and collections. Additionally, he worked with IT to maintain and improve all of the song registration systems and databases that drive the licensing and distribution processes at HFA.

Brian has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Industry from the College of Saint Rose.
