I am an 'artistpreneur'., here to learn and listen. As a producer and label owner I work with jazz, Latin and 'world' music. I have my own producer boutique label, Ashe Records, founded with Rounder and now distributed solely by The Orchard. My musical interests run the spectrum but I am known as a specialist in Cuba and Cuban music. As a singer/songwriter my songs are classic folk/pop with a philosophical bent highly influenced by my studies of Tibetan Buddhism and 'mindfulness'. I feel that music has the power to open people's hearts and minds and unite us. (And by the way I'm singing at the Bluebird on May 26th, 6:30 PM.)
