Live entertainment has played an increasingly significant role in the way that artists and creators generate revenue streams in today's world of entertainment. In fact, Nielsen's Music 360 report states that music fans spend 57% of their money on live events such as concerts and festivals, the highest that number has been in the past three years. While these traditional live events provide a large source of income for artists and creators, it's also important to note that the term 'live' has evolved with the growing popularity of services such Facebook Live, YouNow, Periscope, and other streaming and on-demand video platforms. Together, these live platforms are engaging with fans better than ever by providing new interactive ways to connect with audiences, and they are garnering marketing support for other areas of commerce in the process. What do these new innovations, combined with traditional lucrative touring methods, mean for the future of the music business? And how can we as an industry leverage live opportunities to their full potential for the next generation? Join a panel of experts as we take a deep dive in live — what is has become, and what it means for YOU.
