The National Performing Rights Exchange (NPREX) is the first-ever online platform for direct licensing of public performance rights (music compositions and sound recordings) between copyright owners and music users. The patent-pending NPREX facilitates the transactions through its proprietary price mechanism. NPREX CEO/President, Lee Greer, will introduce this new paradigm in music licensing and discuss the role music metadata plays in enabling systematic direct licensing that will finally put this area of the music industry on sound economic and legal footing.
