Gandhar Savur is a transactional attorney based in New York City, and a founding partner of Savur Threadgold, LLP, a boutique entertainment and IP firm with offices in New York, Nashville and Los Angeles. The firm represents individuals and businesses on matters related to entertainment, corporate, transactional, employment, intellectual property, and contract law. Savur focuses his practice in the music industry, particularly in the areas of licensing, recording agreements and publishing. His roster of music clients includes artists, labels, publishers, producers, managers, songwriters, and publicists.  He also currently serves as general counsel for a small group of music related companies, including television and film licensing company Bank Robber Music, music publishing company Rough Trade Publishing, and independent record label Ernest Jenning Record Co.  Before practicing law, Savur began his career in the licensing department of Matador Records.  Prior to that, he played in numerous touring bands. Savur is a member of the New York and Florida bar associations. In August of 2014, he was listed in Billboard Magazine amongst the Super Lawyers Top 50 Go-To Lawyers in the Music Business.
