Serona Elton is a professor, the Associate Dean of Administration, and the Director of the Music Industry Program at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. She also serves as Head of Education Partnerships for The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC). She has held positions at Warner Music Group and EMI Recorded Music, North America, and consulted for major entertainment companies. She has held leadership positions in numerous music industry organizations, including serving as the president of MEIEA. Additionally, the Leadership Music alumnus has provided expert commentary for Billboard and CNN.com and has made multiple appearances on NPR’s Marketplace. Elton is also a Yamaha Master Educator and is a member of the New York Bar and Florida Bar.
