Dick Wingate is Principle at DEV Advisors, a digital entertainment consulting firm that provides expertise to service providers, app developers, content owners and investors. With more than 40 years of experience in the music and interactive industries, Wingate has seen the intersection of music and technology at all stages, beginning with in-store interactive systems and through to the earliest online music download services and mobile streaming applications. 

Wingate helped pioneer the digital music business from its infancy as SVP of Content Development at Liquid Audio, Inc., playing an integral role in their 1999 IPO. He was responsible for music licensing, label relations, content marketing and negotiated the first digital distribution catalog deals with Universal, Warner and EMI. He was also President of Media Development and CCO for Nellymoser, Inc., an early provider of streaming mobile application services which ran content, licensing and business development strategy with clients including Sony, Warner Music, MTV, AT&T, Virgin Mobile & ABC Television.

Wingate’s in-depth experience in the recording industry saw him serve as SVP of Marketing at Arista Records (BMG); SVP b of A&R at PolyGram Records; Director of Talent Acquisition at Epic Records; and Director of Product Management at Columbia Records.
