Please note that Monday, May 15 consists of pre-convention meetings, digital service workshops, the Entertainment & Technology Law Conference, and the Industry Jam 2. The full program will take place Tuesday, May 16  through Thursday, May 18.

Justine Avila was chosen by the Music City Music Council to serve as the first full-time executive director for the organization after an intensive search process led by music industry executives Ed Hardy and Joe Galante with the support of Mayor Megan Barry, who also serves as co-chair of the Council. Prior to her current role, Avila was concert manager of City Winery Nashville. She co-founded MJ Booking, a boutique entertainment booking firm. Prior to returning to her hometown of Nashville, Avila worked in the entertainment industry in New York City while attaining a Master of Arts degree in Music Business from New York University. Prior to joining the Mayor’s Office and pursuing a career in entertainment, Avila worked in Boston, MA as an analyst at Pinnacle Advisory Group, a hospitality consulting firm. Avila currently serves as the chair for the Cornell Alumni Society of Middle Tennessee.
