Tom “Grover” Biery has spent the majority of his life in the music industry. He began his career working in record stores and as a radio DJ. In 1990, he was hired at Warner Bros. Records (WBR) where his last position there was GM/Exec. VP. In 2005, Biery was an industry leader in re-launching vinyl at WBR, focused on the legendary artists on the label’s roster. Under his leadership the focus of the vinyl pressed was sound quality and packaging. He is very proud to have been an early adopter of the first “Record Store Day” in 2008 and its original funder. After years of collecting vinyl, Biery launched a re-issue label, Slow Down Sounds in 2016. The label’s focus is on sound and packaging quality. Currently he is Sr. VP of Digital Marketing, Streaming, and Strategy at Concord Music Group.
